time@work and eXpense Version 2.4.3
LLP is pleased to announce a new Version 2.4.3 of time@work and eXpense which has been released in July 2004.
Version 2.4.3 contains the following new functionality:
Additional Password Security
You now have the option of defining an expiry period for an Employee's password for the PSW. If this option is used then the system will also insist that a password contain more than six characters and be non-null.
Additional Data Import Options
You may now import Employee Credit Card and Expense Type records from text or Excel files.
Additionally you can now set up a Data Import Profile to update only specific fields within existing records.
PSW Help
This is now 'page sensitive', so that when you invoke Help you will see the appropriate Help text for your current PSW page.
Printing Published Crystal Reports from the PSW
We have now adopted standard Crystal techniques for viewing published Crystal report. These techniques somewhat change, but also make more flexible, the way in which reports are opened and printed or (from now) exported. Printing a report now involves the automatic download of a report in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format to your client PC where the Acrobat Reader is automatically invoked. This brings greater control and offers options for exporting in formats other than Adobe (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.).
Further improvements in PSW Timesheet and Expense Form performance
We have reduced the number of page refreshes that will occur during Timesheet and Expense Form entry. This should greatly reduce the waiting time during data entry. After Project selection your page will no longer be refreshed (except in the case where Analysis Value restrictions need to be read from the Project record on the server).
We will shortly be releasing a new version of the time@work and eXpense Upgrade Tool for upgrading databases from 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 databases to 2.4 (2.4.3).
