time@work New Version 2.4.2
LLP is pleased to announce a new Version 2.4.2 of time@work and eXpense which has been released in June 2004. The Version 2.4.3 will be release in mid-July.
Version 2.4.2 contains the following enhancements:
Restricting Activity Analysis by Employee and Project
It is now possible to restrict the choice of Activity Analysis values available to Employees entering Timesheets and Expense Forms through the Professional Services Workbench. You may specify restricted lists of analysis values on both Employee and Project records through time@work Maintenance. Where you have defined restrictions for both, only those values common to both will be available to the Employee. Note that in the absence of restrictions all are made available.
Restricting Expense Form Types by Employee
You may specify an explicit list of Expense Form Types available to an Employee. Note that in the absence of restrictions all are made available.
Restricting Projects by Expense Form Type
You may specify an explicit list of Projects ('Expense Types' in eXpense terminology) available in an Expense Form Type. Note that in the absence of restrictions all are made available.
Additional Information in the Professional Services Workbench
The current status of an Employee's Expense Form, the date of the latest change of status, and the Employee who should perform the next action are now shown in the Employee's Expense Form History. Additionally, an Authorising or Reviewing Employee can see the date of authorisation or review of Expense Forms he has authorised or reviewed.
Splitting Expenses
A Split option has been provided in Expense Form Entry enabling an Employee to split an expense row in an expense form by one or more values (defined for an Expense Form Type).
Read Only Switches for Expense Form fields
Especially when an expense form is created from an electronic credit card statement you will want to prevent an Employee from modifying imported values shown as fields in the expense form. A new option on Expense Form Types in time@work Maintenance enables you to define columns (including activity analysis columns) as read only.
Version 2.4.3 will be released in mid-July and will contain:
Further optimisation of timesheet and expense form entry through the Professional Services Workbench. The frequency of page refresh will be reduced.
